Ambassador Hood remarked, “Strengthening the capabilities of the Tunisian Air Force supports our mutual interest in peacekeeping operations. We look forward to further collaboration opportunities in the future.”

The aircraft delivery, valued at 36 million Tunisian dinars (approximately $12 million), reflects the U.S. government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the Tunisian Air Force’s air transport capabilities.

In response, the Tunisian Defense Minister expressed his desire to increase collaboration with the United States, particularly in areas like operational capacity development of the Tunisian armed forces, knowledge exchange in military training, and ensuring a steady supply of specialized equipment, especially in transportation.

Ambassador Hood further emphasized how this donation clearly signals the strength of the bilateral partnership and the U.S. commitment to supporting Tunisia in current and future challenges.

“The United States and Tunisia: Partners for Stability,” reads the message from the U.S. Embassy in Tunisia, highlighting the cooperative relationship between the two nations.
