The Slovak Etilog Group Creates a Factory in Sbikha (Kairouan)

Etilog, the Slovak company specializing in the manufacture of special packaging for automobiles and aerospace, kicked off construction work on an industrial unit of its Tunisian subsidiary, on October 9, 2024, in the industrial zone of Sbikha 2 in the governorate of Kairouan.

European technology leader for packaging systems, Etilog employs more than 250 employees based at its sites in Presov, Dunajska Streda, and Svidnik, Slovakia.

With this new unit, which will extend over an area of โ€‹โ€‹one hectare and whose first phase will generate 210 immediate jobs, is part of a geographical expansion plan for the group in the Maghreb and Africa region.

Tunisia is the first destination chosen by this group for its international expansion in a regional development zone. This is explained by its strategic geographic location, its proximity, its dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, and its qualified and available skills. Our country is also positioned as one of the most promising sites for the development of the automotive components industry in the region, and it grants attractive facilities and support to foreign investors. The latter also have confidence in the growth potential of the Tunisian market.

Note that Tunisia has more than 280 companies in the automotive components sector, which employ more than 95,000 people and generate a turnover exceeding 2.4 billion euros, or more than 16% of the country’s overall exports. country.
