The number of Tunisian migrants arriving in Italy has quadrupled since the start of the year

Nearly half of the 25,000 people who have landed on the Italian coast since January come from Tunisia. For several months the transalpine intelligence services have been concerned about the risk of terrorist infiltrations.

Eclipsed last spring by the health crisis and the economic crisis, the migration crisis resurfaced in Italy this summer. Migrant arrivals to its shores have increased 148% in the past nine months. An increase in particular of those of Tunisian nationals whose number has multiplied by 4 since the beginning of the year.
