The official launch ceremony of Nippon Express Morocco took place on Monday, September 26, 2022, in Tangier. Many high-level representatives took part in the event, including Hideaki Kuramistu, Japanese Ambassador to Morocco, Mitsuru Saito, Chairman of the Nippon Express Holdings Group, but also Kuniaki Matsushima, CEO of Nippon Express Morocco, and Rachid Houari, CEO of the port logistics zone MedHub, as well as several other members of the management of the parent group and the new subsidiary “Nippon Express Maroc”.
Capitalizing on the experience acquired by its subsidiary Nippon Express Europe, the Japanese company has recognized Morocco as the ideal partner for the development of its logistics capacities in Africa. Indeed, Morocco being the second most important automobile producer in Africa, the country is also positioned as a complementary production player to Europe, with a strong demand for import/export, supply and commercial logistics centered on the car.
This industry is therefore experiencing strong growth in Morocco, and more and more car manufacturers and car parts suppliers are choosing to set up their factories there.

The business development of the Nippon Express group in Morocco began 5 years ago already, in December 2017 with the opening of an office in Casablanca, where the Moroccan branch started its activities, followed in June 2019 by the opening of the Logistics Center in the port area of Tangier Med, operated by MedHub.
