The Head of Government highlighted the exceptional relations between Tunisia and the WB in all areas, discussing the progress of projects financed by the international institution and the promising prospects of bilateral cooperation between the two parties.
The Head of Government, Ahmed Hachani, chaired, yesterday, Monday, June 24, at the Government Palace in La Kasbah, a working session with a delegation from the World Bank Group (WB), led by the vice-president of the BM for the Middle East and North Africa region (Mena), Ousmane Dione.
The working session was held in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Planning, the Minister of Social Affairs, the Minister of Industry and Energy, the Minister of Health, the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of Higher Education, and the Minister of Education. The participants reviewed the projects and programs financed by the World Bank, as well as the future cooperation program between the two parties in supporting social security, health, energy, agriculture, water, food security, higher education, and scientific research.
In addition to climate change adaptation programs and financing and support plans for the benefit of small and medium-sized businesses.
During this meeting, Dione reiterated his institution’s commitment to continuing its support of Tunisia at all levels.
He added that this support concerns programs that strengthen human capital and projects, among others, related to food, water, and energy security.
