The promotion of military cooperation relations between Tunisia and Algeria was at the center of a meeting, Tuesday, July 19, 2022, between the Tunisian Minister of National Defense, Imed Memmiche, and the Commander of the Algerian Naval Forces, General -Major Mahfoudh Benmeddah, at the headquarters of the department and in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Adel Jehane.
They highlighted the solid and historic relations of brotherhood established between the two countries as well as the common desire to further promote bilateral military cooperation in general, and to develop the work between the two sea forces in particular, underlines the Ministry of National Defence.
The commander of the Algerian Naval Forces and representatives of the navy of the countries of the Mediterranean basin take part in the Forum of senior naval commanders, organized in Tunisia from July 18 to 20, 2022.
This forum comes within the framework of the pursuit of activities relating to the naval exercise Phoenix Express 22 organized in Tunis last June.
