Switzerland Sends Medical Equipment to Tunisia

Switzerland reaffirmed its support for Tunisia in its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic by sending humanitarian aid worth around one million dinars.

This aid consists of medical equipment and sanitary material which arrived this Friday, July 16, 2021, in Tunis.

The Ambassador of Switzerland in Tunisia, ร‰tienne Thรฉvoz, the Director for Cooperation within the Embassy, โ€‹โ€‹Willi Graf, the Minister of Health, represented by Dr. Hรฉdi Oueslati and the National Council of the Order of Physicians in the person of its President, Dr. Ridha Dhaoui, were present for the reception of this equipment at Tunis-Carthage airport.

The equipment – transported by a Swiss armed forces aircraft – includes 50 oxygen concentrators with a capacity of 5 liters, 7 oxygen concentrators with a capacity of 10 liters, and 15 multi-purpose respirators.

This support is part of the support that Switzerland has been providing to Tunisia since 2020 in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, which amounts to around 30 million dinars, to date.
