New changes have been made in the top management of the Sonatrach group. After the dismissal of Toufik Hakkar and his replacement by Rachid Hachichi as CEO on October 2, eight (08) vice presidents of Sonatrach were dismissed, according to a presidential decree published in the latest issue of the Official Journal.
By presidential decree of 4 Rabie Ethani 1445 corresponding to October 19, 2023, the functions of vice-presidents of the national company for research, production, transport, transformation and marketing of hydrocarbons Sonatrach are terminated,” we read in the presidential decree published in Official Gazette No. 70.
According to the same source, the managers dismissed from their positions are Mohamed Slimani, in charge of the exploration and production activity; Amine Melaika, in charge of the hydrocarbon pipeline transport activity; Nasr-Eddine Fatouhi, responsible for the natural gas liquefaction and separation activity; Batouche Boutouba, in charge of the refining and petrochemicals activity; Fatiha Neffah, responsible for the hydrocarbon marketing activity; Madjid Benarab, finance manager; Fethi Arabi, head of business development and marketing; Rachid Zerdani, head of strategy, planning, and economics.
