To strengthen its presence in the United Kingdom, Moroccoโs national airline, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), is set to launch a new direct route between Casablanca Airport and London Stansted Airport.
Royal Air Maroc is adding a new connection to its roster. Starting in June, the Moroccan airline will operate a direct flight between Casablanca and London Stansted, according to The Sun. The flights will be serviced by a Boeing 737-800, running three times a weekโon Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The journey will take three hours and 20 minutes, with one-way tickets starting at ยฃ145 per person. This new route brings the total number of Royal Air Marocโs UK connections to three, as the airline already operates flights from London Heathrow and Gatwick to Casablanca.
โOut of all the airports in all the cities across the world, Royal Air Maroc has chosen London Stansted for its new direct route to Casablancaโa decision weโre truly thrilled about,โ said Ciaran Brannigan, Commercial Director of London Stansted. He believes this service will provide passengers with more choice and convenience when traveling to North Africa, whether for business, leisure, or connecting to the airlineโs broader network. For Brannigan, Casablanca is an iconic destination, โand weโre confident this new route will mark the beginning of a wonderful friendship between Royal Air Maroc and London Stansted.โ
As Moroccoโs largest city, Casablanca is home to several notable attractions, including the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Other highlights for visitors include the Corniche, the cityโs scenic coastal promenade offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, and nearby beaches such as Ain Diab Beach, Corniche Beach, and Tamaris Beach.
