Morocco and its capital, Rabat, have been officially selected to host the 2025 edition of the annual congress of the Dutch Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (ANVR), announced at the closing of this year’s event.
This announcement underscores Morocco’s growing prominence on the international tourism stage, aligning with its ambitious goal of attracting 26 million tourists by 2030, according to a statement from the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT).
The Dutch market, which saw a notable 23% increase in arrivals in 2024, plays a strategic role in this dynamic, as per the same source.
Additionally, the ONMT is organizing a roadshow from November 18 to 21, 2024, in the main tourist markets of the Benelux region, involving 19 Moroccan operators.
This initiative aims to strengthen ties between Moroccan tourism professionals and their Dutch and Belgian counterparts, while showcasing the diversity of Moroccan tourism offerings.
The country also benefits from excellent air connectivity to the region, with over 1.5 million seats available in 2025.
With its exceptional historical heritage and contemporary dynamism, Rabat will provide an ideal setting for the 2025 ANVR congress, thereby enhancing Morocco’s visibility and appeal as a prime tourist destination.
