The Jil Jadid party spoke on Sunday about the “ genocide ” in Gaza, the “ destabilization ” of the Sahel, and the political and economic situation in Algeria.
In a press release published Sunday at the end of the meeting of its political council, the party chaired by Soufiane Djilali reiterated its “ entire solidarity with the Palestinian people who are subjected to genocide and ethnic cleansing in fact and openly proclaimed by the leaders of the Zionist entity .”
Jil Jadid says he is “ deeply shocked by the total indifference or even complicity of the countries which blindly support the racist state ”.
He supports Algeria’s “ initiatives ” with the Security Council and “ notes the historical merit of South Africa’s role with the International Court of Justice which has enhanced its prestige among the peoples of the world ”.
“ Today, it is time for a ceasefire and a real solution to be imposed for the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state,” he said.
Jil Jadid then addressed another thorny international issue: the situation in the Sahel, a region that faces terrorism, political instability with the multiplication of military coups, and serious economic difficulties.
Jil Jadid expresses his “ deep concern about the political and diplomatic deterioration in the region ”, adding that Algeria has “ deployed its efforts to reconcile populations of various ethnic groups within their country by respecting and promoting their stability ”.
“ The ethnic extension of populations straddling our countries cannot leave Algeria indifferent, for its security and that of its neighbors,” recalled Jil Jadid who believes that the intervention of several countries with “ divergent interests could undermine the stability and security of the Sahel countries whose economies are very fragile .”
For him, “ only a real policy of co-development, cooperation, and dialogue between all the countries in the region could offer a solution to security instability, chronic underdevelopment, and the impoverishment of populations ”.
After Gaza and the Sahel, Jil Jadid addressed the political and economic situation in Algeria. First, on the political level, he noted a “ persistent and counterproductive marginalization of political life ”.

While deploring the absence of debates, he believes that ” replacing political parties with a civil society legally not concerned by politics calls into question the intentions of the authorities, especially since the preliminary draft of the organic law on parties does not portend, far from it, a democratic opening.
Jil Jadid warns of the “ danger of a breakdown in mediation between the political class, including those in power, with the people ” which could “ result in a deep crisis of confidence in the long term between the State and citizens ”.
For him, the issue of multi-partyism must be addressed with “ acute awareness ” by the authorities. “ If it is impossible to return to the single party, it would also be irresponsible to consider political apparatuses recruited to serve as stooges,” he stressed.
Jil Jadid adds that public and private media have lost “ all attractiveness ” for citizens, “ leaving them under the influence of media-oriented against national interests and broadcasting from abroad ”. “ Only a significant opening of communication channels can restore credible and educational information,” he maintained.
While pleading for a policy of “ gathering national energies to strengthen the internal front ”, Jil Jadid believes that this project “ can only succeed when the political authorities accept free debate and an assumption of responsibility by the different parties in all conscience ”.
On the economic level, Jil Jadid supports the opening of the capital of public banks such as the CPA and the BDL via the Algiers Stock Exchange, which denotes a “ desire for transparency in the financial environment ”.
However, Jil Jadid emphasizes that “ errors in the application of repressive laws against industrial and commercial operators must be reframed ”.
