Algeria – Palestine — Mahmoud Abbas will make an official visit to Algeria in April, after Eid El-Fitr. This visit was agreed during a telephone conversation which brought together yesterday, Wednesday, April 3, the Algerian president, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the president of the Palestinian authority.
“The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received today (3/4/2024) a telephone call from his brother Mahmoud Abbas, president of the occupied Palestinian state,” indicates the press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
“The latter,” the document continues, “expressed his gratitude and thanks to Algeria, president, people, and State, for all its initiatives in favor of the Palestinian cause, notably the recent UN resolution .”
For his part, the President of the Republic reaffirmed the firmness of Algeria’s positions and its constant support for all international efforts to restore justice and allow the brotherly Palestinian people to recover their legitimate rights,” reread we.
Finally, the Presidency announced that the two Heads of State agreed on a visit by Mahmoud Abbas and his Palestinian Foreign Minister to Algeria after Eid al-Fitr, i.e. after April 10.

Algeria reaffirms its solidarity with the Palestinian people
On the other hand, Algeria, through a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published Monday, April 1, reaffirmed its solidarity with the Palestinian people in their resistance to the Israeli occupation army, assuring them of its firm support and unwavering.
“Algeria underlines the document, reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in their heroic resistance and their immeasurable sacrifices in the face of one of the most barbaric armies, its military arsenal and its colonial expansionist policy”.
“Algeria reaffirms its firm and unwavering support for the Palestinian people in this ordeal and in defense of their land, their dignity, and their right to the establishment of an independent state in all of their territories and with El Quds for capital,” concludes the press release.
Moreover, Algeria sent two ANP Air Force planes loaded with 168 tons of humanitarian aid (food, medicines, medical equipment, etc.) to the Gaza Strip on Monday. An operation that reflects Algeria’s unreserved commitment to the Palestinian people.
