The discussions led to concrete proposals. Oman is considering importing Algerian pharmaceutical products and opening its market to Algerian investors. In return, the Sultanate proposed establishing factories in Algeria in partnership with Omani operators.

Minister Kouidri emphasized the achievements of Algeriaโ€™s pharmaceutical sector, which now meets 75% of domestic demand. He specifically mentioned the full-process production of anticancer drugs, vaccines, and insulin by the Saidal Group. Algeria also plans to start producing raw materials for anticancer drugs in the near future.

This meeting follows the October summit between the leaders of both countries, which aimed to strengthen economic ties. In this context, Algeria expressed its readiness to establish partnerships and share expertise and knowledge with Oman in the pharmaceutical field.
