The launch of the activities of the new private Algerian shipping company, Nouris El Bahr Ferries, is taking shape. The ship chartered by the young Algerian shipping company has left the Polish port where it was moored and should reach Algiers in the coming hours.
In early September, the Nouris Elbahr Ferries company announced that it would operate in three Algerian ports, namely Algiers, Oran, and Bejaia, from two ports in Europe, namely Marseille in France and Alicante in Spain.
Things are speeding up at the Nouris El Bahr Ferries shipping company
According to information reported by VVA, confirmed on September 3 by the specialist website Le Marin, the Algerian company plans to launch its crossings with Marseille during the second half of September.
Nouris Elbahr Ferries was waiting for the finalization of the agreement with the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille (GPMM), as well as the chartering operation of the vessel Cracovia from the Polish shipowner Polferries.
Several days after these promising announcements concerning the launch of crossings, things seem to be speeding up on the side of the young Algerian shipping company, a competitor of the national company, Algérie Ferries.
This Thursday, September 19, we noted on the ship position tracking site, Vesselfinder, that the semi-cargo ship Cracovia left the Polish port where it had been moored for several weeks.
According to the data verified on the ship tracking site, the ferry Cracovia sailed this Thursday, September 19 to the port of Swinoujscie. The ship should therefore not delay in reaching the port of Algiers for its reception by the young Algerian company.
The Cracovia “will therefore be received at the port of Algiers in the coming days”
At the beginning of this week, the management of Nouris Elbahr Ferries reassured its future customers, via a press release, that it had “honored all of its commitments to its Polish partner, owner of the ship Cracovia.”
The ferry “will therefore be received at the port of Algiers in the coming days,” the company announced. After this step, the carrier will be able to communicate “very soon” the dates linked to the opening of reservations, as well as the official start of the activity.
On Tuesday, September 17, the company returned with another press release to officially reveal the capacity of its ship. The latter can indeed accommodate 650 passengers, 64 cars, 98 long-distance trucks, and 26 short-distance trucks.
These latest announcements from Nouris Elbahr Ferries therefore confirm that things are speeding up and that the official start of its activity during the second half of September is becoming more precise, to the great pleasure of travelers between Algeria and Europe. Moreover, the company promises its future customers to ensure “a comfortable and efficient crossing.”
