Norwegian Scatec Starts up 2 Solar Power Plants

Scatec starts construction of solar projects in the two Tunisian cities of Sidi Bouzid and Tozeur in Tunisia. With a total capacity of 120 MW (60 MW each), the two projects are being carried out in partnership with Aeolus SAS, a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Toyota Tsusho Group.

According to a company press release on its website, summarizing its financial results for the second quarter of 2024, “including Tunisia, Scatec has already committed 590 million Norwegian crowns of equity investments in projects under construction, against an annual target of 500 to 750 million Norwegian crowns.”

โ€œI am pleased with another good quarter and solid overall results, with new operational assets contributing positively. Our commitment to developing renewable energy is evident and I am pleased to see the construction of our new projects progressing,โ€ says CEO Terje Pilskog.
