The facts would have occurred between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m, report several witnesses. According to a police source quoted by AFP, the inscriptions made on the exterior wall of the mosque, “Islam outside Europe” and “Charlemagne Division”, were made “in black paint, about 7 meters in length and 2 meters high.  Gérald Darmanin denounces the act targeting the Flers mosque
