Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, says Morocco is on the verge of tightening visa requirements for some Egyptians. And for good reason.
During a meeting with the Committee of the Interior, Foreign Affairs, and National Defense of the Chamber of Advisors, the head of Moroccan diplomacy announced that Morocco would tighten the conditions for granting visas for Egyptians, especially businessmen because of the cases of fraud observed, reports Al Oâmk. Some Egyptian businessmen are often driven by the desire to settle permanently in Morocco, and this could lead to social consequences and problems in terms of security.
In the report of this commission, Nasser Bourita also mentioned the difficulties faced by Moroccan businessmen in obtaining visas in certain countries, including Egypt. All things that could comfort the Moroccan authorities were to tighten the conditions for granting visas for Egyptians.
