In a note dated March 8, 2021, addressed to land conservators, the Director of Land Conservation, Bouchaib Chahi specifies that these requests for information sent directly by parties or foreign countries or from the hierarchy cannot give rise to favorable treatment. only if they are targeted by the Department of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and MRE. It is thus prohibited to communicate any information or document relating to real estate held in Morocco by MRE, without the authorization of this ministry.

For his part, the director of the National Agency for Land Conservation, Cadastre and Cartography (ANCFCC), Karim Tajmouati instructed the land conservators not to transmit information or documents to a party. foreign policy on the immovable property of MREs unless they are addressed within the legal framework in force. “You will not respond to any request submitted to you in this regard from a foreign party, whatever its purpose, unless these requests include the prior approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation African and Moroccans residing abroad, or received by the administrative level to supervise the central installations of the agency, ”he declared.

These instructions follow the illegal obtaining by Belgian notaries of information on the property of the MRE, which allowed them to summon Moroccan families to leave their social housing in Lier next September. Belgian law prohibits any foreigner with real estate in their country of origin from renting social housing.

Karim Tajmouati also insisted on the fact that copies of documents or information on the immovable property of MRE can only be transmitted to their owners and invited the land conservators to contact him in case of difficulties in the implementation. implement instructions.

The Moroccan authorities have opened an investigation to determine the people involved in the leak of information communicated to Belgian notaries on the property of MRE.
