Morocco to receive new shipments of coronavirus vaccine

Morocco is preparing to receive one million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, the delivery of which is expected this weekend. A new shipment of the British-Swedish vaccine AstraZeneca will be delivered to the kingdom in the third week of July.

A Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Dreamliner took off this Friday, June 18 from Mohammed V airport in Casablanca to Beijing to bring back one million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine this weekend, confirms an authorized source on the Le360 site. According to the agreement between the two parties, the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm will have to deliver 40.5 million doses to Morocco.

In July, the kingdom will receive 650,000 doses of vaccines from the British-Swedish laboratory AstraZeneca. This delivery, which is expected the third week of July, is part of the Covax program.

As of June 18, 9,374,710 people have received the first dose while 8,057,159 have received the second dose. The Covid-19 report shows 525,924 cases of contamination, 512,937 healings, and 9,233 deaths.
