It’s a scene reminiscent of old spy movies that unfolded Wednesday at the port of Tangier, Morocco.
Elements of passenger management were able to seize an Italian-made pistol. The pistol, found in a vehicle driven by a Slovak national, was fitted with a silencer, reports the local news site Le 360.

The same source claims that it is a Bruni Mod 92 alarm pistol with a caliber of 9 mm, made in Italy. The weapon has a silencer.
Seized at the port of Tangier by elements of the passenger management, the gun was found on board a Land Rover registered in Slovakia.
Inside the same vehicle, driven by a Slovak national, following the discovery of the firearm, the port security services were also able to get their hands on 110 cartridges, also of caliber 9 mm.
The driver of the Land Rover was subsequently subjected to a thorough check and must now face a judicial investigation led by the Judicial Police Brigade of the Tangier port security zone.
A seizure that arouses suspicion
This investigation, always reports Le 360, aims to highlight all the extensions of this case, and in particular to give more clarifications concerning the reasons for which this Slovak national tried to introduce this firearm on Moroccan soil.
The investigation also aims to arrest other people potentially involved in this case.
This is not the first firearm seized upon entering Morocco. On July 5, at the port of Beni Ensar in Nador, a passenger was arrested in possession of a 9 mm automatic pistol as well as 49 rounds of ammunition.
