The streets of the Moroccan capital Rabat were the scene, Sunday, on the eve of the commemoration of the first anniversary of the operation “Al-Aqsa Flood”, of a massive popular march to demand the end of normalization and the cancellation of the agreements between Morocco and the Zionist entity which continues its double destructive aggression against the two Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
The march, organized under the slogan “Al-Aqsa Flood, until the liberation of Palestine and the end of normalization”, began with the participation of political, trade union, and associative organizations and human rights organizations, in addition to all sections of Moroccan society.
It was held in response to the call launched by the “National Action Group for Palestine”, which includes more than 20 anti-normalization organizations, such as the “Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against Normalization” and the “Moroccan Space for Human Rights”.
Dressed in keffiyehs and carrying portraits of victims of Zionist aggression, the participants in the march notably chanted slogans hostile to the normalization of the Makhzen with the Zionist entity, such as “the people want to abolish normalization”, “citizens, boycott Zionist goods”, and called for pressure to put an end to the genocidal aggressions of the Zionist entity against Gaza and Lebanon.
During the demonstration that took place in front of the parliament building, Palestinian flags and banners in support of Palestine and the struggle of the Palestinian people were also waved.
The “National Action Group for Palestine” notably renewed its call for the closure of the so-called “Zionist liaison office in Rabat and an end to all forms of normalization with the Zionist entity, as a sign of respect for the popular will expressed during thousands of rallies, hundreds of marches organized throughout Moroccan territory and numerous petitions signed by thousands of Moroccans.”
For his part, the member of the General Secretariat of the political department of the movement “Al Adl Wal Ihsane”, Hassan Benajah, described the march as a “massive popular referendum”, thus confirming the will of the Moroccan people to end the normalization with the Zionist entity. Abundant
In the same vein, the Secretary General of the Unified Socialist Party (PSU), Jamal Al-Asri, stressed that the popular march in Rabat carried “a clear message of rejection of the normalization agreements between Morocco and the usurping Zionist entity (…)”, noting that “Moroccans, whatever their ideological orientations and political affiliations, all consider Palestine as their compass and their cause.”
