The countdown will start soon. Israeli airline “El Al” plans to operate at least one flight a day to Morocco, the Jewish News Syndicate reported on Sunday.
The announcement came on Friday the day after news of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom and Israel, said “jns.org” recalling that until now, the Israelis went to Morocco on special visas via indirect flights.
“The company welcomes the historic announcement and will begin the preparation of direct flights to Casablanca subject to obtaining all the required authorizations from the various authorities”, “El Al” said in a statement adding that it has examined the feasibility economy and the implementation of these direct flights to Morocco which should be “highly appreciated by Israeli customers”.

Quoted by the Israeli business daily “Globes”, Uri Sirkis, CEO of Israir Airlines, said that the latter was also preparing to operate flights between Israel and Morocco.
Sirkis has estimated that Morocco could attract up to 150,000 Israeli tourists in 2021, indicating that at present at least 30,000 Israelis visit Morocco each year.
According to the Jewish News Syndicate website, a third Israeli airline, Arkia, has also announced that it plans to operate flights to Morocco.
