In 2022, Turkey’s exports to Morocco amounted to two billion and 968 million dollars. Thus, the kingdom is the main importer of Turkish products in North Africa, according to data from the Council of Exporters, quoted by the Anadolu news agency. But at the level of the MENA region including the Arab States further east, it is rather Egypt that retains the leading position of Turkish imports, with a total value of three billion and 928 million dollars.
According to the same source, Libya totals two billion and 408 million dollars of imports from Turkey. Algeria recorded one billion and 914 million dollars, followed by Tunisia with one billion and 505 million dollars, then Sudan, with 423 million dollars.
In total, Turkey’s exports to North African countries will have increased by 5.1% in 2022, compared to the previous year, amounting to 13 billion and 148 million dollars. Chemicals, steel, cereals, pulses, and oilseeds are the main products that are exported to the region.

The news agency recalls that Turkey’s total exports increased by 12.9% in 2022 compared to 2021. Thus, they amounted to 254 billion and 210 million dollars.
