Morocco: Civil Servants Will Now Be Converted into Nurses

In a note, Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit gave his directives to the heads of local authorities affiliated with the different regions, and prefectures, under the supervision of governors and Walis, to assign employees for training in the professions of nurses and health technicians. According to information from  Hespress, this initiative aims to fill the lack of nursing assistants in hospitals in Morocco.

For this purpose, three training courses in three different specializations are offered: multitasking nursing, family health nursing, and environmental nursing. Laftit instructed managers to determine the lists of female and male employees wishing to benefit from these courses by July 10, 2024.

The beneficiaries will be enrolled in a training course in the required specializations at the Higher Institute of Nursing Professions and Health Technologies (ISPITS), affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
