The Moroccan authorities on Friday called on their nationals in Ukraine not to leave their places of residence and to respect the directives and security measures.
This is what emerges from a press release issued by the Moroccan embassy in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, a day after the launch of a military operation in the Donbass region in eastern Ukraine.
The embassy also recommended that they always carry identity papers and stay in constant contact with the Moroccan embassy in Kiev and with the crisis unit designated for this purpose.
The press release indicates that the Moroccan embassy, in close coordination with the kingdom’s embassies in neighboring countries, is working to facilitate the passage of Moroccan citizens to Ukraine wishing to leave the country under safe conditions.
Nationals were called to go to border crossing points to enter Romania, Hungary and Slovakia, where reception and support cells will be established, according to the same press release.
