Morocco Announces First Confirmed Case of Monkeypox

Morocco announces having recorded its first confirmed case of monkeypox. The Moroccan Ministry of Health indicated in a statement that โ€œthe case was discovered within the framework of the health protocol approved in the Kingdom since the start of this global health alert, the infected person having followed the necessary health care in one of the specialized medical centers in the city of Marrakech, and she is in a stable state of healthโ€ฆโ€

He continued: โ€œThe affected person receives appropriate medical care by approved health procedures, and is subject to careful medical monitoring to ensure the stability of their condition. The necessary health isolation and medical monitoring procedures have been activated by national regulations and international health standards.โ€

Moroccans are called upon to respect recommended preventive measures, such as washing their hands regularly, avoiding direct contact with infected or suspected people and ensuring personal hygiene.
