Morocco Airports: More than 9.8 Million Passengers at the End of July 2022

At the end of July 2022, the Kingdom’s airports recorded a commercial traffic volume of 9,813,316 passengers through 89,648 airport movements for all airports, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).

At the end of July, Morocco’s airports thus continued to show largely positive recovery rates compared to the same period of 2019, welcoming 70% of passengers and 75% of airport movements, the Office said in a press release.

Regarding cumulative air traffic during the first seven months of 2022, Casablanca Mohammed V airport welcomed 3,699,215 passengers via 34,742 flights, i.e. recovery rates of around 64% and 67% respectively.

During the month of July 2022, most airports reached or even exceeded the volume of air passenger traffic recorded during the same period of 2019.

According to the Office, the recovery is consolidated during the first seven months for the airports of the North and Oriental regions which recorded recovery rates greater than or equal to 100% compared to the same period of 2019 (Tรฉtouan: 378%, Oujda: 111%, Nador: 101%, Tangier: 95%).
