Just four days after her coronation, Fatima-Zahra Khayat crowned Miss Universe Morocco 2021, is forced to hand over her title to Kawtar Benhalima, her first runner-up, during a handover ceremony, held November 10, in Casablanca.
The 26-year-old young woman has, in fact, had to make up her mind to this difficult choice due to a sprained ankle which will prevent her from competing for the title of Miss Universe Morocco, in Israel on December 12, 2021.
The title of Miss Morocco and representative of Morocco in the 2021 Miss Universe contest, therefore, goes to her first runner-up, Kawtar Benhalima, aged 22.
Invited to the Info Soir JT on Friday, November 12, 2021, the young Kawtar Benhalima revealed that she is of Algerian origin.
News which caused a dramatic change among Moroccan Internet users who demanded the immediate forfeiture of his title.
