Malta and Algeria signed an agreement on veterinary health on Wednesday, together with memoranda of understanding on the health and plant protection sectors.
The signing followed a bilateral meeting between Maltese foreign affairs minister Carmelo Abela and Algerian energy minister Mustapha Guitouni.
Mr Abela expressed his hope for further cooperation between the two countries, which he said the new agreements would facilitate, in areas such as health, agriculture, fisheries and the economy.
