The secretary general of the Republican Popular Union (UPR), Lotfi Mraihi published a video, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, on his Facebook page, announcing his intention to run in the next presidential election.
Lotfi Mraihi clarified that he had taken this decision taking into account the current situation, in particular, the deterioration of political, economic, and social life, as well as the decline in rights and freedoms acquired during the revolution.
Lotfi Mhaihi indicated that the current President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed must cancel the decrees and laws that he had put in place to grant himself immunity.
