Libya: The Remains of Tunisians Will Be Repatriated This Sunday or Monday

The repatriation of the remains of three Tunisians will take place this evening or Monday. This was indicated by the Consul General of Tunisia in Tripoli, Taoufik Guesmi.

The transfer of the bodies of the three Tunisians will take place from al-Bouri field to Sebrata, for an autopsy. This is what the Tunisian Consul clarified.

Missing, a fourth Tunisian is actively wanted, he added in a statement to the TAP agency. The state of health of a fifth Tunisian injured in the accident is stable, he said.

As a result, the company which has entered into a contract with the Tunisian consulate in Tripoli will take care of their repatriation to Tunisia. And this, after the finalization of the necessary administrative procedures, added Taoufik Guesmi.

According to him, the public prosecutor in Libya had traveled on Saturday to the al-Bouri oil field to investigate the circumstances of the accident.

In addition, the service of ports and maritime transport under the Libyan Ministry of Transport announced on Friday in a statement the death of Tunisian nationals in a “painful accident” on the oil platform al-Bouri, in Libya.

There is also the disappearance of other people following this accident. And this, following the detachment of the floating tank from the connection point (SPM) of the al-Bouri platform. The same goes for the creation of an emergency crisis unit present at the scene of the accident.

Recent
