Legislative: The Administrative Court renders its judgments

In a statement, Olfa Guiros, magistrate and member of the information and communication unit of the TA, indicated that the court rendered judgments concerning 35 appeals of which 27 were rejected for defect of form.

The Appeals Chambers of the Administrative Court delivered, yesterday, the judicial pronouncements relating to the appeals brought against the preliminary results of the first round of the legislative elections.

The TA rejected 41 appeals for defect of form and 11 others for defect of substance and accepted only 3 appeals, thus annulling the decisions of the Independent High Authority for Elections (Isie), totally or partially.

In a statement, Olfa Guiros, magistrate and member of the information and communication unit of the TA, indicated that the court rendered judgments concerning 35 appeals of which 27 were rejected for defect of form.

Two appeals were accepted. Under this decision, she explained, Isie is now called upon to reconsider the status of the candidate in the constituency of Soliman, the governorate of Nabeul.

The electoral body must also reclassify the candidates of the constituency of Medina Jedida, the governorate of Ben Arous.
