Judo: Tunisia throne at the 2021 African Championships in Dakar

The Tunisian judo team won 14 medals, including 5 gold at the 2021 African Championships in Dakar, from May 20 to 23. 

The Tunisians are ahead of Morocco and Algeria in the medal ranking. Only the Congolese Marie Branser in the under 78 kilos, and the Egyptian Ahmed Abdelrahman in the under 66 kilos, managed to break the hegemony of these three nations on the top step of the podium. Note, the beautiful second place of the Ivorian Salimata Fofana among the less than 52 kilos. It is the best result of his career. At home, the Senegalese managed to win the silver medal in the team event.
