“The most moral army in the world” is waging World War III against radical Islam, according to Israel’s energy minister. He insists that it is carried out in a humane way: “There are many countries that would have wiped out their neighboring country after such events.”
Israeli Energy Minister Israel Katz, for whom the Hamas attack of October 7 is “very similar to what happened on September 11 in the United States”, believes that his country is currently in a Third War world against radical Islam.
“We are in World War III against radical Islam,” he declared in an interview with the German tabloid Bild.
According to him, this war does not only concern the Jewish state, and “the commitment in Europe and the United States” “seems completely understandable” to him. “Because it’s not just about our war. The war is also happening in Europe. In radical communities.”
The minister affirms that this war is being waged in a humane and moral manner :
“I insist once again: we are human people. We are the most moral army in the world. There are many countries that I know, that you know, which would have wiped out their neighboring country after such events. If God forbid, there had been such an attack by Mexico on Texas in the United States, there would be no Mexico left.”
Crisis in the Middle East
Since October 7, there has been renewed tension between Israel and Hamas, following a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. Hamas holds around a hundred hostages taken in Israel.
The IDF responded by blocking the supply of electricity, water, food, fuel, and fuel to the enclave and carrying out airstrikes. An Israeli ground operation against the Gaza Strip is in preparation, according to the Israeli army.
Several states, including African countries such as Algeria and Tunisia, have begun to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
The hostilities and the blockade have already caused the death of thousands of people as well as significant material damage.
According to Moscow, the resolution of the crisis must begin with “a ceasefire, the resolution of humanitarian issues, the facilitation of the departure of foreign nationals from the Gaza Strip.”
