Indian giant Tata Advance Systems is setting up in Morocco to produce Indian vehicles that will be delivered to the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces and the armies of other African countries.
Tata Advance Systems has created a SARL called Tata Advanced Systems Maroc Construction. Its mission is the “construction of military combat vehicles, studies, development, production, integration and assembly of all military equipment vehicles and all related elements”, reports Le Desk. Registered since April 2024 at the Casablanca Commercial Court, this company will have to produce Indian vehicles that will be supplied to the Moroccan army. TATA Advance Systems had supplied the Moroccan army with LPTA-715 tactical military transport trucks in 2022 and 90 Tata LPTA 2445 6 ร 6 tactical transport trucks at the beginning of the following year.
The establishment of Tata Advance Systems in Morocco follows the signing in 2023 of an agreement between the kingdom and Indian companies for the construction of Indian vehicles that will be supplied to the Moroccan army. Negotiations are advanced with Indian companies for the production, on-site in Morocco, of armored vehicles for the benefit of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces and the armies of other African countries, indicated the Moroccan Minister in charge of Investment, Mohsen Jazouli, during an official visit to India. Since the visit of King Mohammed VI to India in October 2015, Rabat and New Delhi have strengthened their military cooperation.
