Iberia connects Spain to Morocco again

The airline company Iberia announced the resumption of its flights to Casablanca, Marrakech and Tangier from Madrid, following the reopening of Morocco’s borders.

In July and August 2021, the Spanish national company resumes its flights to Morocco, which on June 15 lifted most travel restrictions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. Between its base in Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suarez and Marrakech-Menara airport, it will offer a daily 180-seat Airbus A320 flight from its low-cost subsidiary Iberia Express, with departure at 11:00 a.m. for arrival at 12:00 p.m. and return flights to 12:35 p.m. to land at 3:30 p.m. It competes with Air Europa and Ryanair on this route.

Casablanca-Mohammed V will be served from the Spanish capital at the rate of five weekly frequencies, operated by CRJ1000 with 100 seats by Iberia Regional Air Nostrum. Flights are scheduled in Madrid at 11:25 am arriving at 12:05 pm, with returns at 12:45 pm to land at 3:35 pm. Air Europa and RAM are also present on this axis.

Finally, CRJ1000s will also be deployed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday between Madrid and Tangier-Ibn Battuta airport, with departures at 11:25 am to arrive at 11:55 am and returns at 12:25 pm to land at 2:45 pm. The Oneworld alliance company usually competes on this route with Air Arabia Maroc, Royal Air Maroc and Ryanair.
