Handball World Cup: Morocco Seeks Revenge against Algeria

The Moroccan national handball team, plagued by a series of defeats since the start of the 2023 World Cup, is preparing to face Algeria this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. as part of the second day of Group B of the President’s Cup. The Atlas Lions, led by Nourredine Bouhaddioui, are looking to redeem themselves after their defeat against Tunisia (25-30) on the first day.

This is a revenge meeting for the Moroccans, who had already crossed paths with Algeria during the group stage of the 2021 World Cup in Egypt, where they suffered a forceps defeat. The national coach must find solutions to avoid repeating past mistakes, especially at the defensive level.

However, Algeria isn’t in great shape either, having lost all three of their group-stage games and their first game in the President’s Cup against Macedonia (25-40). Morocco, after this meeting, will face Macedonia on Monday, in the last match of Group B of the President’s Cup. It should be noted that the match will be broadcast live on the Arryadia channel from 3:30 p.m.
