Local authorities in the province of Larache have established an update on the forest fires that have broken out in this region. Here is the report stopped in the morning of this Friday, July 15, 2022.
According to the local authorities of the province of Larache (Ministry of the Interior), the fire in the La Hipica forest has been brought under control, as well as that of the “Sahel El Menzela” forest in the Sahel commune.
According to this still provisional assessment, the fire-ravaged a total of 900 hectares and the flames reached some homes.

According to the same source, local authorities evacuated 1,100 families spread over 15 douars in the province.
