Football: Algeria Prepares for Its Match in Morocco

Algeria faces Djibouti, Thursday, September 2 in Blida (8 p.m.), and Burkina Faso on, Tuesday, September 7 in Marrakech (Morocco). On the sidelines of these two meetings, the Algerian football selection began its preparation course on Monday.

The course will be done according to a program well established by the technical staff and which has been published on the official website of the Algerian Football Federation. All 25 players summoned by coach Djamel Belmadi will be present at the preparation camp which starts this Monday at the National Technical Center (NTC). Earlier in the morning, the coach was facing the press at the Omar Kezzal auditorium in Sidi Moussa, to explain the choice of the 25 players summoned.

The players will train until Wednesday, the day before the first meeting. The match will be held behind closed doors, the FAF was unable to obtain authorization from CAF to allow the public access to the Mustapha Tchaker stadium. A request refused by the African Confederation and which remains valid for all the matches of the first day.

After Djibouti, captain Ryad Mahrez and his teammates will be in Morocco on September 6 to play the match of the second day against Burkina Faso, scheduled for Tuesday, September 7 (8 p.m.) at the Grand Stade de Marrakech. The meeting will indeed take place in Morocco, despite the breakdown in relations between the kingdom and Algeria.
