The more the days pass, the more the Muslims of Algeria like the hundreds of millions all over the planet are impatient at the idea of knowing the date of Ramadan 2022. However, they will still have to be patient before the traditional “Night Doubt”. An essential Muslim ritual that, should be remembered, marks the beginning of the holy month. This is via the communication of the first official day of fasting.
The Night of Doubt dedicated to the observation of the lunar crescent of the ninth month of the Muslim calendar is scheduled, as usual, for 29 Chaâbane 1443 of the Hegira. This date corresponds this year in fact to Tuesday, March 29. On this occasion, a special conference will be organized after the Al Maghreb prayer at Dar El Imam. A mosque is located in the town of El Mohammadia, east of Algiers.
Algerian television and radio channels will then broadcast it live. The exact date of Ramadan will therefore only be confirmed in eleven (11) days. But the scientific and astronomical estimates are already known. The Egyptian Institute for Research in Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) has not failed to deliver its progress on what should be the first day of the holy month of fasting 2022.

From Europe to Africa via Asia, each year, the period forming part of the five (5) pillars of Islam is indeed a little earlier in the Gregorian calendar (universal). Last year, it took place from April 13 to May 12. While it will take place in 2022 at the very beginning of April. It should thus begin on the same date in the majority of countries, including Algeria.
“The date of the beginning of the month of Ramadan should correspond to Saturday, April 02 everywhere in the world”
. This is indeed what the Egyptian Institute for Research in Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) has stipulated. He manifested himself via a press release published on Wednesday on his official website. The same establishment has thus announced that it will be easy for a good number of countries, which will investigate the crescent moon, to observe it.
That said, it is worth returning to a point mentioned above. The official announcement of the date of Ramadan 2022 in Algeria is solely the prerogative of the National Commission for the Observation of the Lunar Crescent. The one belonging to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs (MARW).
