The famous flight comparator and provider of travel deals, Skyscanner, unveiled, on November 9, its new report on travel trends in 2024. A study is based on the site’s search and reservation data combined with the results of its annual survey on traveler behavior.
Titled “ Travel Trends 2024: Rethinking Travel with the Experience Spectrum,” the report reveals how and where people will travel next year.
What are the trending travel destinations for 2024?
The gaze of French travelers is focused on distant destinations, particularly in Asia. According to Skyscanner, some of the most searched destinations include India, Taiwan, Japan, and Vietnam. Furthermore, on the European continent, this interest concerns travel to Portugal, Spain, and Albania.
What motivates the desire to travel to these countries is most often the weather, cultural and historical exploration, and the culinary traditions specific to each population. According to its report, Skyscanner indicates that 43% of French travelers consider the “vibe” of the destination to be an important element in choosing the destination for their next trips in 2024.
A destination with the best prices for traveling in 2024: 3 Algerian cities at the top of the Skyscanner ranking
Following the new Skyscanner report, the study focuses on a ranking of the best-priced destinations for traveling in 2024. The quality-price ratio between the price of the flight and the cost of the hotel remains a determining factor in the choice of destination for your next vacation.
Furthermore, at the top of this ranking are three Algerian cities whose travel costs recorded the largest drop. In first place, we find Constantine with a drop in this price of 36%, followed by the capital Algiers in 2nd place (34%) and Oran (26%) in third place on this podium.
In 4th place in the ranking of destinations with the best prices is Tunis, then Copenhagen in Denmark in 5th place. The 6th position on the Skyscanner list is occupied by Tirana in Albania, the 7th position by Taipei in Taiwan, and the 8th position by Madeira in Portugal. Finally, 9th place is occupied by Stockholm in Sweden and the last place among the destinations with the best prices was given to Alicante in Spain.
