Algeria is very interested in organizing the 2025 African Cup of Nations. The Algerian Football Federation has also applied to host the event which was initially entrusted to Guinea.
After withdrawing Can 2025 from Guinea at the end of September, Caf launched a new call for applications. The deadline for submitting applications is November 16. If it has repeatedly indicated its willingness to organize the event, Algeria had not yet taken action.
According to information from the local media Echorouk, relayed by Le360ma, the Algerian Federation has indeed sent correspondence to officially present its candidacy.
The countries that have presented their candidacy will receive an inspection visit between January 5 and 25, 2023. This will have the mission of ensuring the quality of the infrastructure and the capacity of the country to host this continental event.
