It is the Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech which dominates the ranking of universities in Morocco and the Maghreb (26th in Africa). At the national level, Cadi Ayyad University confirms its supremacy by positioning itself ahead of Mohammed V University (35th in Africa), Hassan II University (48th in Africa), and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (49th in Africa).
Internationally, it ranks 1301st, far ahead of its Moroccan counterparts. The Mohammed V University (1566th) and the Hassan II University of Casablanca (1917th).
Cadi Ayyad University stands out in the higher education landscape in North Africa, reaching the top of the Maghreb ranking. In addition, Algeria ranks second in the Maghreb region. The 1st Algerian university (University of the Mentouri Constantine Brothers 1) ranks 67th on the African continent.
