The French Institute of Algiers renews its commitment to the Algerian public who are connoisseurs and lovers of jazz, by organizing the second edition of the “Ifa’ Jazz” event, from October 2 to 4, at its headquarters.
On this occasion, three talented jazz groups will be welcomed who will lead the audience, through their concerts, into a world of enchanting melodies and captivating improvisations.
The opening gala will be hosted by the artist Kader Fahim. He is known as one of the best guitarists of his generation, in addition, his songs carry a message of openness and tolerance. He will accompany the artist Youssef Bougla on bass, and Maamoun Dahan on drums.
Briki Cartet Camp Friends will bring back jazz classics with their touch. The group includes pianist Fayçal Al-Maalem, drummer Nacer Menia, Rachid Briki on bass, and Aki on saxophone.
Nour and Salim Ardjoune conclude this demonstration, by performing their quintet and music colored by Tunisian poetry. Nour and Salim Ardjoune form an exceptional duo. In addition to their blood ties, their common passion for music, sensitivity, and talent as composers quickly made them distinguished artists.
This duo also plays and sings for their fans in the Tunisian dialect.
The lyrics of their songs are full of poetry. It reflects a new and contemporary world. After their unforgettable performance in July 2022 in Carthage, they will perform in Algiers with an impressive performance.
In another context, the first edition of the “Ifa’ Jazz” event saw the participation of three groups from Algeria, Tunisia, and Mali.
