A 17-year-old Algerian boy was shot dead in the “Plateau Mont-Royal” neighborhood in Montreal, Canada.
Amir ben Ayad was injured, according to the “Montreal Gazette” website, by bullets in the abdomen, at the corner of Saints Roy and Rivard, after which he was taken to hospital while he was conscious before his condition became critical and his death was recorded at 1:45 a.m. Friday.
The identity of the criminal has not yet been revealed, despite the police having conducted numerous interviews with eyewitnesses, according to the same source.
According to the same website, the shooting took place near the outdoor play area of a daycare center on Riverside Street, where a bloodstain was found on the ice a few feet from the field on Friday morning.
