Algerian presidential elections: the 3 candidates attack Anie
” The campaign management informs the national public opinion of the imprecisions, contradictions, ambiguities and inconsistencies that were noted in the figures during the announcement of the provisional results by the president of the Independent National Electoral Authority ” (ANIE), Mohamed Charfi, they indicated in the press release.
The President of Anie announced late Sunday afternoon the provisional results of the presidential election of Saturday, September 7, with the re-election of the outgoing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for a second term with 94.65% of the votes cast, which are 5,630,196. The electorate has a total of 24,351,551 voters.
Candidate Abdelaali Hassani obtained 3.17% and Youcef Aouchiche came third with 2.16% of the votes cast, said the president of Anie, who did not give the turnout rate or the number of invalid ballots.
The press release from the campaign management of the three candidates cites the following points:
โInaccuraciesโ and โcontradictions in the figures for the participation rates announcedโ.
“Contradictions” between the “figures announced by the president of Anie and the “minutes of counting and concentration of votes submitted by the municipal and wilaya electoral commissions”.
“The ambiguity of the press release announcing the provisional results of the presidential election, which did not include most of the essential data in press releases announcing the results, as is customary in all important national elections.”
โAn inconsistency in the rates announced for each candidate.โ
