Algerian Companies Showcase Diverse Products at Doha Expo

Over 150 Algerian companies from various production sectors are participating in an exhibition in Doha, Qatar, from October 22 to 26, 2024. The event, organized by the company “Tasdir” (a subsidiary of the SAFEX group) in collaboration with the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI) and the Qatar Chamber of Commerce, aims to introduce the Qatari market to the quality and diversity of Algerian products.

Tayeb Zitouni, the Minister of Commerce and Export Promotion, at the opening of this economic event, emphasized that the Algerian Products Exhibition in Doha is a continuation of the roadmap established between the two countries. This roadmap outlines a concrete plan for real partnership and commercial exchanges based on the principle of mutual benefit.

Minister Zitouni highlighted that this is “the first Algerian exhibition held in Qatar,” noting that the products showcased by these companies “have been highly successful and have contributed to achieving self-sufficiency in Algeria, as well as being export-oriented.”

He further mentioned that Algeria has reached a non-hydrocarbon export target of 7 billion dollars, with a program set to reach nearly 30 billion dollars by 2030. This target, Zitouni explained, “is based on data from producing companies in Algeria and the partnership relations between Algeria and other countries, including Qatar.”

This economic event, which strengthens economic and commercial ties between Algeria and Qatar, provides Algerian companies with an opportunity to display a wide range of products, including food, industrial, and artisanal goods known for their quality and excellence in international markets.
