The Ministry of Water Resources on Tuesday launched a new electronic application, dubbed “Khidmati” (my service), for the benefit of users and water professionals, as part of the digitization of the sector and the simplification of administrative procedures.

“This web application, launched in three languages, Arabic, French and English, improves public service and combats bureaucracy,” said Minister of Water Resources Arezki Baraki, who attended the ceremony. launch of the application, at the headquarters of his department.

The presenter of the application, Youcef Lahouazi, clarified that this portal is dedicated to natural and legal persons. “It will thus make life easier for households and businesses by allowing them to pay their bills electronically or to formulate their requests for connection to DWS without having to go to the site,” he explained.

The application also benefits farmers who wish to apply for authorizations for the construction of boreholes and wells or their rehabilitation, he added.

As for the interest of this application for professionals in the sector such as design offices or companies operating mineral water, the application will allow them in particular to formulate their requests and send their files to the services concerned via the internet. .

Users will have their own passwords to access their own accounts and monitor the status of their cases in real time, adds Lahouazi.

In short, “the purpose is to minimize physical contact with citizens and businesses as much as possible, while ensuring fluidity in the processing of their requests and their files,” he summarized.

The web portal also includes the ministry’s Facebook page and its YouTube channel, which provides ongoing information on sector news and project progress.
