After Ethiopia, South Sudan, Uganda, and Seychelles, the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, concludes his continental tour with a stay in Algeria on Saturday and Sunday.
The opportunity for the leader to meet Djahid Zefizef, freshly elected president of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), but also to take stock of the state of progress of the infrastructures for the CHAN that Algeria will host from 13 January to February 4, 2023.
“During his stay in Algiers, which will last until Sunday, Dr. Motsepe will have audiences with officials and a program of visits to some facilities in the capital. As he will have talks with the new President of the FAF Djahid Zefizef and the members of the Federal Bureau around several important issues, in particular the CHAN-Algeria 2022, which our country will host at the beginning of next year (January 13 – February 4 ), CAN U17 in March 2023 and many other subjects”, explained the FAF.
It is the first time the South African has visited Algeria since his election in March 2021.
