Algiers: The Algerian Confederation of Citizen Employers, Mohamed Sami Akli, has signed an agreement with the Mauritanian National Federation of Employers to establish a joint works council between the two countries.
Akli revealed, in a statement to Channel 1 Radio, that the council will work to strengthen and develop partnerships between the two countries in various fields, in addition to promoting cooperation to achieve strategic goals.
On the sidelines of what brought the two parties together, for Algeria, the president of the Algerian Confederation of Citizen Employers affirmed that she had come to embody the strong political will aim at establishing a strategic partnership between Algeria and Mauritania.
The same official said: “The meeting reflects the importance of the relations between the two countries and their embodiment through field projects for the benefit of both parties.
For his part, the president of the National Union of Mauritanian Employers, Mohamed Zine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed Otbah, explained that “the newly created council is a qualitative tool for developing trade between the two countries, as well as for coordinating cooperation between actors.”
Ahmed Otba spoke of the depth of Algerian-Mauritanian relations, “confirmed by the visit of the Mauritanian president to Algeria, to also express the demands of the consolidation of economic integration”
